Seasons of the Soul, a set of poems by Allen Tate, speaks of loss and suffering during the American Civil War. It inspires this series as it evoked an eerie similarity to the decades-long Colombian war experience. I want to suggest the pain to the individual, the assault on identity, and emotions at the forefront of devastation: love and loneliness.
